Let’s be honest: most companies claim two things that are rarely true.
First, that they are a “𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲.”
Second, that they are “𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞-𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧“.
In reality, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐬, not kinship.
And in most boardrooms, 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥-𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞, carefully manufactured to inspire belief.
This having said, this company is different. Small in size - yet one of Europe’s leading developers of photovoltaic plants. Brilliant specialists, managing gigantic projects and investments. And still, a team where people truly stand for each other. Not just in comfort, but in challenge. They support, they care, and they stretch one another to grow. Like in a real family.
And purpose? No branding exercise here. No invention. Under the guidance of an extraordinary founder, it is lived. It permeates every fiber of the company. It is unquestionable.
For years, I’ve had the privilege to accompany this team. Every time, it feels rare. To see how individuals grow in their own leadership, and how the team grows in its unity and depth. I feel proud that my humble contribution - challenging, supporting, and guiding them both individually and as a collective - has become part of their journey.
This time, at a monastery south of Vienna - a place of silence and reflection - it became once again clear: 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝.
Which leaves me with a question for you:
Is your company truly what it claims to be - or just a well-crafted illusion?
