We like to think of ourselves as good people -
conscious, responsible, humane.
Yet we quietly participate in a system built on suffering.
As Paul McCartney said,

But they donโt - and so we look away.
This isnโt only about meat.
Itโs about a mindset:
our ability to normalize cruelty when it serves comfort, profit, or growth.
Weโve built economies that reward productivity without conscience,
growth without reflection,
and consumption without limit.
